*Last week my computer went for a swim in my latte! I am happy to report that after a few days off, drying out, it finally turned back on – insert happy dance – so please excuse the lack of blogging. I was asked if I was more sad over the spilt latte or my broken computer. I had to laugh out loud because I do love my latte and that day I needed my latte! but obviously I am relieved that my computer is back and running, although looks like the battery is fried since it won’t charge or turn on unless its plugged in. Considering what could have happened, I am happy its just the battery!*

A few weeks ago I was personally invited to attend a Blogger Dinner with a few of the most fabulous bloggers. I was super excited, flattered and a bit nervous to be included in the event and really had no idea what to expect. I left my babies at home with daddy (yes all three of them … first time leaving baby girl) and headed in to the city for the evening. I was so excited to meet the other bloggers, some of which I had been following for a while and couldn’t wait to meet #irl. The hostess for the evening was the beautiful Christine from Amidst The Chaos. This girl out did herself!! She truly knows how to throw a party and not only is she a fabulous and funny hostess but she has the sweetest heart and is a very talented blogger.

Upon arriving in the city, with butterflies in my stomach (first impressions are important, right!?), I headed in to the dinner.

Of course the table was amazing and every detail was covered. Minted provided the most beautiful paper products from the menus, to place cards and coasters. The floral design was simple, gorgeous and really popped on the black backdrop.

There was no way to miss the most gorgeous floral arrangements provided by Tonic Blooms. These guys created the most stunning floral arrangements that were actually a couple bouquets that they put together to make a large arrangement. Creating the most gorgeous table centrepiece. There was no way to capture how beautiful these flowers were on camera but we tried. They even used gerber daisy’s in the arrangements and you couldn’t even tell they were Gerber because they blended so well with all the other beautiful pieces. I can’t wait to order flowers from these guys next time I have an event because these guys know how to do it right!

One of my favourite parts of the evening was having our dinner prepared by our own chef.  You may recognize Meghan from Master Chef Canada but she now has her own catering company – 2 Beans Catering. I am always in awe as I watch chefs work their magic and Meghan was no different. She worked her magic and with such grace and ease she created the most delicious meal which included hand pressed fresh pasta. I wish I could steal some of her talent in the kitchen! She started off the evening by making us these delicious Blackberry Gin and Tonic with some fresh mint.

We enjoyed a 3 course meal and each part of the meal was mouth watering and each bit left your palate wanting more. Her appetizer was Grilled Peach Caprese with a Balsamic Honey Glaze and I could have just ate that all night long. I have to admit I have tried to replicate it at home and although it was good the second (and third) time it still wasn’t as good as when she made it.

Our entree was a Basil Pasta with Brown Butter Sauce and she hand pressed the pasta with the basil herself. This was hands down the best pasta I have ever eaten. Although I am not sure how I managed to eat my dessert after all the delicious food I had eaten I made room and I am glad I did. Dessert was a Baileys Chocolate Mousse with some Fresh Berries and Whipped Cream. It was so decadent which is exactly how I like my dessert. If you have an event or even if you just want to have you dinner prepared for you some night, because lets face it Moms who doesn’t like having a night off, I seriously recommend hiring Meghan to come and cook for you. I know I plan on having her come to my house to cook for me and my friends in the near future.

We didn’t even go home empty handed at the end of the fabulous night! Thanks to Butter Avenue I was able to take some macroons home to share with my babies and it was clear how much they enjoyed them since mommy didn’t even get a bite. Jac and James sent us home with the most beautiful earrings and Bold n Beautiful Makeup gifted us some fabulous beauty products. Christine included a gorgeous print that she designed and I left with a full heart, full tummy, new friends and beautiful gifts. I encourage you to check out all of our sponsors as well as all the other bloggers that were at the dinner. They are all fabulous ladies and I know you will enjoy their blogs!
